Marc Mero, born on July 9, 1960, is an American retired professional wrestler, amateur boxer, and motivational speaker. He is known for his appearances in major wrestling organizations including the World Wrestling Federation, now known as WWE, and World Championship Wrestling. During his wrestling career, he performed under his real name and the ring name Johnny B. Badd. As Johnny B. Badd, Mero was a prominent mid-card wrestler in WCW during the early 1990s and won the WCW World Television Championship three times before leaving the company in 1996 due to creative differences. Subsequently, he competed in the WWF, making his debut at WrestleMania XII, and secured the Intercontinental Championship during his tenure. His storyline also included a feud with his wife, Sable, before he departed in 1999. In the mid-2000s, Mero made sporadic appearances in NWA Total Nonstop Action, marking his last appearances in mainstream professional wrestling.
