Mac Miller: podcast appearances and interviews

Malcolm James McCormick, known by his stage name Mac Miller, was an American rapper who began his career in Pittsburgh's local hip-hop scene in 2007 at the age of 15. He signed with Rostrum Records in 2010 and gained recognition with his mixtapes K.I.D.S. and Best Day Ever. His debut studio album, Blue Slide Park, was released in 2011 and became the first independently distributed debut album to top the US Billboard 200 since 1995. In 2013, Miller founded the record label imprint REMember Music. After releasing his second studio album, Watching Movies with the Sound Off, he left Rostrum Records and signed with Warner Bros. Records in 2014. During his time with Warner Bros., he released five studio albums, including GO:OD AM, The Divine Feminine, and Swimming. The album Swimming was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album posthumously. Aside from his work as a rapper, Miller also served as a record producer under the pseudonym Larry Fisherman, producing music for himself and other artists. Throughout his career, Miller was open about his struggles with addiction and substance abuse, themes that were often reflected in his lyrics. He died at the age of 26 from an accidental drug overdose involving cocaine, fentanyl, and alcohol at his home.
