Luis Fernando Díaz Marulanda, born on January 13, 1997, is a Colombian professional footballer known primarily for his roles as a midfielder and winger. He is recognized for his pace, dribbling skills, and pressing ability. Díaz's career began in the Categoría Primera B with Barranquilla before he moved to Atlético Junior, where he achieved success by winning the Categoría Primera A, a Copa Colombia, and a Superliga Colombiana. In 2019, he transferred to Porto for a reported fee of €7 million, where he secured two Primeira Liga titles, one Taça de Portugal, and one Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira. His impressive performance in the 2021–22 season, with 14 goals in 18 league games, led to a €45 million transfer to Liverpool. During his time at Liverpool, he won the EFL Cup and FA Cup, with a notable performance as man of the match in the FA Cup final. Following his success in England, Díaz helped Liverpool win the Premier League in the 2024–25 season and subsequently transferred to Bayern Munich for €75 million, including add-ons.
