Lucy Spraggan: podcast appearances and interviews

Lucy Honour Ruby Spraggan, born on 21 July 1991, is an English singer-songwriter known for her participation in The X Factor in 2012. She performed her original composition Last Night during her audition but had to withdraw from the competition due to illness. Her departure was later disclosed in her biography, Process, where she revealed it was a result of being raped by a hotel porter. Prior to the show, Spraggan independently released the album Top Room at the Zoo in 2011, making her the first contestant in the show's history to attain a Top 40 single and album before the live shows aired. Following her time on The X Factor, she signed with Columbia Records and has released a total of seven studio albums. Her debut major-label album, Join the Club, came out in 2013 and reached number 7 on the UK Albums Chart. She continued her music career with subsequent albums, including Choices in 2021, which debuted at number 5, featuring singles such as Flowers, Roots, and Sober. Her seventh studio album, Balance, was released in August 2023. In addition to her music, Spraggan authored an autobiography titled Process, which was published on 20 July 2023.
