Born Lucy Ridsdale on 19 June 1869, she married Stanley Baldwin in 1892, who would become the three-time Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Throughout her life, she was recognized for her service and contributions, being invested as a Dame of Grace in the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem and later receiving the Dame Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire. In 1937, she was styled as Countess Baldwin of Bewdley.
