Lizz Winstead is an American comedian, radio and television personality, and podcast host. Born on July 5, 1961, she is a native of Minnesota. Winstead co-created The Daily Show with Madeleine Smithberg and served as its head writer and one of its original correspondents. She is also an abortion rights activist and the founder and chief creative officer of Abortion Access Front, a nonprofit organization composed of activists, writers, producers, and comedians. The organization uses humor to destigmatize abortion and oppose anti-abortion efforts across the United States.
