Liselle Sambury: podcast appearances and interviews

Liselle Sambury is a Trinidadian Canadian writer known for her young adult fantasy literature. Her debut novel, Blood Like Magic, was published in 2021 by Simon & Schuster and was a finalist for the Governor General's Award for English-language children's literature at the 2021 Governor General's Awards. The novel also received nominations for the Amy Mathers Teen Book Award in 2022. Sambury is a native of Toronto, Ontario, and has academic backgrounds in linguistics and creative writing, having studied at Queen's University. Currently residing in Timmins, she has incorporated the city as a setting in her novel Delicious Monsters, which received a nomination for the Amy Mathers Teen Book Award in 2024. Her work explores themes relevant to young adult readers and has been recognized for its contribution to Canadian children's literature.
