Lisa Lopez is a Tejano music singer who gained recognition with her number one single 'Si Quieres Verme Llorar' in 1982 on the Hacienda Record label. Produced by Rick Garcia, the song contributed to her visibility within the genre. Lopez's primary audience was Mexican, and she became the first female Tejano singer to appear on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart in October 1981. Her success was notable given the historical context where female musicians generally achieved less commercial success than their male counterparts.
