Lily Jane Collins, born on 18 March 1989, is an actress of English and American nationality. She was born in Guildford and raised in Los Angeles. Collins began her acting career at a young age, appearing on screen at the age of two in the BBC sitcom Growing Pains. During the late 2000s, she increased her presence in both acting and modeling. She gained recognition for her supporting role in the film The Blind Side in 2009 and subsequently starred in a variety of films including Priest, Abduction, Mirror Mirror, and The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. Collins received critical acclaim for her performances in the romantic comedy Rules Don't Apply, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination, and in the drama To the Bone, where she portrayed a young woman with anorexia.
