Larry King: podcast appearances and interviews

Larry King was an American television and radio host, author, and spokesman. He began his broadcasting career as a radio interviewer in the Miami area during the 1950s and 1960s. King gained national prominence in 1978 as the host of The Larry King Show, an all-night call-in radio program broadcast across the United States. From 1985 to 2010, he hosted the nightly television program Larry King Live on CNN, where he conducted more than 50,000 interviews. Later, he hosted Larry King Now from 2012 to 2020 on Hulu, Ora TV, and RT America, along with Politicking with Larry King, a weekly political talk show on the same channels from 2013 to 2020. Born Lawrence Harvey Zeiger in Brooklyn, New York, on November 19, 1933, he was the son of Jewish parents who immigrated from what is now Belarus. He attended Lafayette High School in Brooklyn. Throughout his career, King appeared in television series and films, often playing himself. His work was recognized with multiple awards, including two Peabodys, an Emmy, ten Cable ACE Awards, and a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 32nd Annual News and Documentary Emmys. King remained active in broadcasting until his death on January 23, 2021.
