Lara Logan, born on 29 March 1971, is a South African journalist and war correspondent known for her work in television and radio. Her journalism career began in South Africa during the 1990s, and she gained prominence through her reporting on the American invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. Her coverage led to her hiring by CBS News in 2002, where she eventually served as the Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent. Logan's reporting has included coverage of international conflicts and significant events, contributing to her public profile. In 2013, she was involved in a controversy concerning a story on the 2012 Benghazi attack that was retracted due to factual errors, subsequently leading to a leave of absence. In 2019, Logan joined the Sinclair Broadcast Group, a conservative media company, and in January 2020, she became part of Fox Nation, a subscription streaming service operated by Fox News.
