Lance Smith is the activities director at Vermont Sports Car. He is a former professional football player with a career spanning twelve seasons in the National Football League. Born in New York City on January 1, 1963, Smith played high school football at A. L. Brown High School in Kannapolis, North Carolina. He continued his football career at Louisiana State University, where he was recognized as a first-team All-American by the AFCA and UPI during his senior year. Smith was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the third round of the 1985 NFL draft. He spent nine years with the Cardinals before moving on to three seasons with the New York Giants.
