Kurtis Gabriel: podcast appearances and interviews

Kurtis Gabriel is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player born on April 20, 1993. He is primarily known as an enforcer and played as a forward. After being passed over in the NHL entry draft during his first two years of eligibility, Gabriel was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the third round, 81st overall, in the 2013 NHL entry draft. He made his NHL debut with the Wild on November 10, 2015, but spent most of his career with their American Hockey League affiliate, the Iowa Wild. Gabriel's tenure with the team lasted nearly five seasons until the 2017–18 season, after which he signed with the New Jersey Devils. During his time with the Devils organization, he became the first NHL player to use Pride Tape outside of NHL designated Pride Nights. In addition to his on-ice career, Gabriel is recognized for his advocacy work within the community, which earned him the IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year awards with both the Wild and the Phantoms.
