Kelsea Nicole Ballerini, born on September 12, 1993, is an American singer, songwriter, and musician known for her success in country music. She began songwriting during childhood and signed a contract with Black River Entertainment in 2014. Her debut studio album, The First Time, was released that year, followed by her second album, Unapologetically, in 2017. Her early singles, including Love Me Like You Mean It, Dibs, and Peter Pan, achieved notable chart success, making her the first female artist since Carrie Underwood in 2006 to send a debut single to the top of the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.
