Keith Costigan: podcast appearances and interviews

Keith Costigan is a former professional soccer player who now works as a television analyst and commentator for MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. Originally from Dublin, Ireland, he played youth football for Irish clubs Vianney Boys, St. Kevin's Boys, and Stella Maris, and was enrolled in a full-time training course at Home Farm. As a full-back, Costigan spent two years in the League of Ireland with Bray Wanderers and Monaghan United Football Club. He also had a brief spell with Luton Town, though he did not sign a contract with the club. Costigan moved to the United States after receiving a full soccer scholarship to Augusta State University and later attended California State University, Bakersfield, where he completed his senior year. He signed a two-year contract with the Portland Timbers of the United Soccer Leagues, leading the team in assists and minutes during his tenure. He also played with the Los Angeles Galaxy during the Timbers off-season and concluded his playing career with the Harrisburg City Islanders. Transitioning to broadcasting, Costigan began working with Fox Soccer Channel, initially as a humorous bartender on Fox Football Friday, before co-hosting Super Saturday with Nick Webster. He is currently a co-host of Super Sunday Plus, commentates on World Cup Qualifiers, Europa League, and Concacaf Champions League matches, and contributes to the Foxsoccer.com website with weekly rankings. Additionally, he is a regular contributor to The Kop Magazine, which caters to Liverpool fans. In 2016, Costigan joined Seattle Sounders FC as the regional play-by-play announcer before leaving in 2023 to join Apple TV's national MLS coverage.
