Kaveh Akbar: podcast appearances and interviews

Kaveh Akbar is an Iranian-American poet, novelist, and editor born on January 15, 1989. He is the author of the poetry collections Calling a Wolf a Wolf and Pilgrim Bell. Additionally, he wrote the novel Martyr! which became a New York Times bestseller and was a finalist for the National Book Award. Akbar serves as the director of the University of Iowa's undergraduate creative writing program. He is also the founder of Divedapper and holds the position of Poetry Editor at The Nation. Recognized by NPR in 2018 as poetry's biggest cheerleader, he has received notable honors including a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2024 and a spot on Time magazine's TIME100 Next List.
