Kathie Lee Gifford is an American television presenter, singer, songwriter, actress, and author. She is recognized as a New York Times Bestselling Author and has released multiple books that often feature spiritual and uplifting themes. Gifford gained fame as the co-host of the daytime talk show Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee, which she hosted from 1985 to 2000 alongside Regis Philbin. She later became well known for her 11-year run on the fourth hour of NBC's Today show with Hoda Kotb, a period during which she received 11 Daytime Emmy nominations and won her first Emmy in 2010 as part of the Today team. Her first television role was as a singer and sidekick on the syndicated version of Name That Tune during the 1977–1978 season, and she also made occasional appearances on the early hours of Today as a contributing NBC News correspondent. Gifford was married to Paul Johnson, a composer and producer of Christian music, from 1976 until their divorce in 1982. She later married sportscaster and former NFL player Frank Gifford in 1986, who passed away before her.
