Karen Pierce: podcast appearances and interviews

Karen Elizabeth Pierce is a British diplomat and senior civil servant who has held numerous prominent positions. She served as the British Ambassador to the United States from 2020 to 2025, becoming the first woman to hold this role. Prior to this, she was the United Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2018 to 2020, again as the first woman in this position. She also served as the British Ambassador to Afghanistan from 2015 to 2016, becoming the second woman to be appointed to that role. Throughout her career, Pierce has been recognized for breaking gender barriers in diplomatic appointments and has contributed significantly to the UK's international relations.
