Karen Kwiatkowski: podcast appearances and interviews

Karen U. Kwiatkowski, née Unger, born on September 24, 1960, is an American activist and commentator. She is a retired United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who held various roles including a Pentagon desk officer and positions at the National Security Agency. Following her retirement, she has been an outspoken critic of the United States government's involvement in Iraq, notably writing insider essays that criticize what she views as corrupting political influences on military intelligence prior to the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Her initial op-ed was published in the Akron Beacon. Kwiatkowski has also engaged in political campaigns, challenging incumbent Bob Goodlatte in the 2012 Republican primary for Virginia's sixth congressional district and securing 34 percent of the vote on a platform advocating for constitutional and limited government. She is a member of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity and received the Sam Adams Associates for Integrity in Intelligence Award in 2018. In addition to her activism, she has authored two books focused on U.S. policy in Africa and has contributed to works about political ideas and personal journeys toward peace and freedom.
