Justin Sullivan: podcast appearances and interviews

Justin Edward Sullivan, born on 8 April 1956, is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and principal songwriter of the English rock band New Model Army, which he formed in 1980 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, along with drummer Robert Heaton and bassist Stuart Morrow. Sullivan performed under the stage name 'Slade the Leveller' in the early 1980s, a reference to the political movement of the Levellers. His parents are Quakers. Beyond his work with New Model Army, Sullivan has released two live albums featuring band material performed with various members, capturing their tours. He was also a founding member of Red Sky Coven and collaborated with Joolz Denby and Rev Hammer on the album Hex, which set Denby's poetry to music. Sullivan has also worked with Denby and Heaton on subsequent projects translating her poetry into music, including albums like 'Weird Sister' and 'Spirit Stories.' In 2003, Sullivan released a solo studio album titled Navigating by the Stars. His songs have been remixed by Christoph H. Mueller and featured in the soundtrack of the thriller Exilée. Additionally, Sullivan contributed vocals to the track 'Who Has Questions for the Dead?' on the 2007 studio album The Scene Is Dead by the band This Is Menace.
