Julie Austin: podcast appearances and interviews

Julie Austin is an author, inventor, futurist, and innovation keynote speaker with a notable career in technology and digital media. She is the chief executive officer of Inview Technology, a company specializing in digital switch over solutions and middleware for television set top boxes. Under her leadership, Inview Technology has launched significant advancements such as the UK's first electronic program guide and Freeview. Austin began her career as an accountant in the electronics industry and became chief finance officer at Coloroll Carpets at the age of 24, overseeing a team of 25 employees. Following her management roles within electronic companies, she co-founded Inview Interactive, later known as Inview Technology, and also played a role in the development of 4TV. Between 1998 and 2008, she managed all commercial operations, including finance, sales, and contracts, during which Inview launched the first listings services in the UK and developed push-video on demand services. In 2009, she assumed the role of chief executive officer. Her company's expertise includes analogue switch off, legacy set-top box upgrades, and new pay TV products. Austin's professional activities also include her affiliation with the Greene County Juvenile Office. She is married to inventor Ken Austin and resides in North Wales.
