Joz Norris: podcast appearances and interviews

Josiah Norris, born in 1989, is a British alternative comedian, comic actor, and screenwriter. He began writing and performing comedy during his university years at the University of East Anglia, where he studied English Literature and collaborated with fellow comedians and writers such as John Kearns, Jon Brittain, and Pat Cahill. Norris has been a consistent presence at the Edinburgh Fringe, performing solo shows since 2012 and debuting a full hour in 2013. His 2019 show, 'Joz Norris is Dead: Long Live Mr Fruit Salad,' won the Comedians' Choice Award at the Fringe; the show transferred to the Soho Theatre, where its run was extended due to its popularity, and was recognized in the Guardian's list of the Ten Best Jokes of the Fringe. In addition to his solo performances, Norris has appeared in other comedians' shows at the Fringe and is involved with collectives such as Comedians' Cinema Club and The Alternative Comedy Memorial Society. He is a frequent collaborator with Weirdos Comedy Club and has worked with Up In Arms Theatre Company. His theatre work includes a performance in the play 'Timmy' at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2018. Norris has also made a mark as a webseries actor, winning the Outstanding Supporting Actor award at the Los Angeles Webseries Festival in 2015 for 'The Backbenchers' and receiving nominations for his own series, 'The Girl Whisperer.' His short films include 'Robert Johnson & The Devil Man,' which received positive reviews. Norris appeared on ITV's 'Judge Rinder' in 2016, and in 2023, he was ranked among the top 13% of Taylor Swift listeners on Spotify.
