Joshua Harris: podcast appearances and interviews

Joshua Eugene Harris is the Vice President of Public Engagement at the Obama Foundation and is affiliated with Every Nation Church. He is an American former Evangelical Christian pastor known for his influence on Christian views of dating and relationships through his 1997 book I Kissed Dating Goodbye. The book emphasized a biblically based Christian approach to dating and helped shape purity culture among many Christian millennials. Harris served as the lead pastor of Covenant Life Church, the founding church of Sovereign Grace Ministries, in Gaithersburg, Maryland, from 2004 until 2015. In 2018, he disavowed the book I Kissed Dating Goodbye and discontinued its publication, acknowledging a significant change in his faith. The following year, Harris announced that he was separating from his wife and expressed that he had undergone a substantial shift regarding his faith in Jesus. He now considers himself a seeker, engaging with religion in a manner different from his past beliefs, praying to Jesus and visiting church without identifying strictly as a Christian.
