Josh Carr: podcast appearances and interviews

Josh Carr, born on 29 April 1980, is the current senior coach of the Port Adelaide Football Club. He has a notable background as a former Australian rules footballer who played for Port Adelaide and Fremantle in the Australian Football League. Drafted by Port Adelaide in the 1998 AFL draft, Carr made his debut for the club in 2000 and contributed to the Power's 2004 premiership victory. In 2005, he transferred to Fremantle, where he played alongside his elder brother Matthew Carr for four seasons. He returned to Port Adelaide in 2009 and played two additional seasons before retiring at the end of 2010. Following his retirement, Carr transitioned into coaching, serving as an assistant coach for Port Adelaide from 2011 to 2015. He then took on the role of head coach for North Adelaide in the SANFL from 2016 to 2019, leading the team to a premiership in 2018. In October 2019, Carr re-joined Fremantle as an assistant coach for the 2020 season. In 2023, he returned to Port Adelaide as an assistant coach and was appointed the senior coach of the club ahead of the 2026 season.
