Jordan Alexander Spieth is an American professional golfer who competes on the PGA Tour. Born on July 27, 1993, he is a former world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking and has secured three major championships in his career. Spieth was a two-time U.S. Junior Amateur champion and reached the number one position in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in 2012 before turning professional later that year. He achieved his first PGA Tour victory in 2013 at the age of 19. In 2015, Spieth won his first major at the Masters Tournament, tying the scoring record set by Tiger Woods in 1997 with an 18-under par score. Later that year, he also claimed victory at the U.S. Open, becoming the youngest U.S. Open champion since Bobby Jones in 1923 at the age of 21.
