Jordan Blackmon Montgomery, born December 27, 1992, is an American leadership coach, speaker, and author. Although he is known for his work in personal development and leadership, he is also recognized for his career as a professional baseball pitcher. Montgomery has played in Major League Baseball for several teams including the New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Texas Rangers. He played college baseball for the South Carolina Gamecocks before being selected by the Yankees in the 2014 MLB draft. His MLB debut occurred in 2017. Montgomery was traded from the Yankees to the Cardinals in 2022 and subsequently joined the Texas Rangers, with whom he won his first championship in the 2023 World Series. After two seasons with the Diamondbacks, Montgomery returned to the Rangers for the 2026 season. His career has included notable achievements on the baseball field, alongside his work as a leadership coach, speaker, and author.
