Jonathan Raymond, born June 26, 1971, is an American writer living in Portland, Oregon. He is recognized for his work as a novelist and screenwriter, including novels such as The Half-Life and Rain Dragon. Raymond has also written short stories and screenplays that have been adapted into films directed by Kelly Reichardt, including Old Joy, Wendy and Lucy, and First Cow. Additionally, he co-wrote the screenplays for these films. As a screenwriter, Raymond authored the original scripts for the films Meek's Cutoff and Night Moves.
