Jonathan Larsen: podcast appearances and interviews

Jonathan Zerbe Larsen, born on January 6, 1940, is an American journalist and philanthropist affiliated with the Auto Care Association. He served as editor-in-chief of The Village Voice from 1989 to 1994 and is a senior editor and board member of the news website WhoWhatWhy. Larsen has a distinguished background in journalism, having been a correspondent and editor for Time magazine, where he worked as Saigon bureau chief during the Vietnam War. He also served as editor of New Times from 1974 to 1979. After leaving journalism in the 1990s, Larsen dedicated his efforts to environmental and charitable causes. He is a trustee of the Natural Resources Defense Council as well as Cambridge College in Massachusetts and Sterling College in Vermont. Larsen is the son of Roy Larsen, former President of Time Inc., and has been married twice, including to Jane Amsterdam, a former editor of Manhattan, inc. and the New York Post.
