Jon Carter, born in 1970 in Essex, England, is an English electronic musician known for his work as a big beat DJ in the 1990s. Over time, his musical productions and DJ sets incorporated a variety of styles, reflecting his evolving approach to electronic music. In 2004, Carter began to reduce his DJing activities due to tinnitus, a condition affecting his hearing. During this period, he also launched a second career as a businessman by co-founding a company that operates a chain of live music pubs across London. Currently, he holds the position of Assistant Director of Government and Political Affairs at the British Trust for Ornithology, where he is involved in activities related to ornithology and bird conservation.
