John Walters: podcast appearances and interviews

John Walters was a British radio producer, presenter, and musician born on 11 July 1939 and deceased on 30 July 2001. He initially worked as a schoolteacher and was a jazz enthusiast. Walters played trumpet in The Mighty Joe Young Jazz Men and was also a member of the 1960s pop group The Alan Price Set. In 1967, he joined BBC Radio 1, where he became known for his role as a producer. He served as John Peel's producer from 1969 to 1991, contributing significantly to the station's programming. Throughout his career, Walters balanced his interests in music and broadcasting, establishing a reputation in the British music scene.
