John Stossel: podcast appearances and interviews

John Frank Stossel, born on March 6, 1947, is an American libertarian television presenter, author, consumer journalist, political activist, and pundit. He has been associated with ABC News, Fox Business Network, and Reason TV. His reporting style combines both factual reporting and commentary, reflecting his support for a small L libertarian political philosophy and a largely free-market economic viewpoint. Stossel began his journalism career as a researcher for KGW-TV and worked as a consumer reporter at WCBS-TV in New York City before joining ABC News as a consumer editor and reporter on Good Morning America. He advanced to become an ABC News correspondent and a co-anchor of the program 20/20. In October 2009, Stossel left ABC News to join Fox Business Network where he hosted a weekly news show called Stossel until December 2016. Additionally, he founded Stossel in the Classroom, an educational website aimed at students, and launched StosselTV in 2019, an online channel distributed via social media. Throughout his career, Stossel has received multiple awards including 19 Emmy Awards and five awards from the National Press Club. He is also an author of three books: Give Me a Break, Myths, Lies, and Downright Stupidity, and No, They Can't: Why Government Fails – But Individuals Succeed.
