John Stapleton: podcast appearances and interviews

John Martin Stapleton (24 February 1946 – 21 September 2025) was an English journalist and broadcaster recognized for his work across multiple television platforms. He served as a presenter and reporter on ITV breakfast programs such as TV-am, GMTV, and Daybreak. Additionally, he hosted the BBC shows Nationwide and Watchdog, and was known for hosting the ITV morning talk show The Time, The Place as well as the Sunday morning program My Favourite Hymns. Throughout his career, Stapleton received notable recognition, including the Royal Television Society's News Presenter of the Year award in 2003. He was married to fellow presenter Lynn Faulds Wood, with whom he co-presented Watchdog from 1986 to 1993. Later in his career, he was associated with AGADA Biosciences as an authentic entrepreneur, contributing his expertise outside of traditional media roles.
