John Ritter: podcast appearances and interviews

Johnathan Southworth Ritter was an American actor known for his role as Jack Tripper on the ABC sitcom Three's Company, a role that earned him a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 1984. He also appeared in the spin-off Three's a Crowd, which aired for one season. Ritter's career included appearances in over 100 films and television series, as well as performances on Broadway. His notable film roles comprised performances in It, Problem Child, Problem Child 2, Sling Blade, and Bad Santa, the latter being his final live action film and dedicated to his memory. He also voiced the title character on the PBS children's program Clifford the Big Red Dog, earning four Daytime Emmy Award nominations, and played Paul Hennessy on the ABC sitcom 8 Simple Rules. Ritter's comedic style was based on musical and character comedy. Born in 1948, he was the son of singing cowboy star Tex Ritter and the father of actors Jason and Tyler Ritter. His contributions to film and television, particularly his comedic performances, have been recognized by colleagues, including Don Knotts who called him the greatest physical comedian on the planet.
