John Riley: podcast appearances and interviews

John Patrick Riley was an Irish-born soldier who served in the British Army before emigrating to the United States. He later enlisted in the United States Army and became involved in the Mexican–American War of 1846–1848. During this conflict, Riley led a group of defectors from the United States Army who joined the Mexican Army. This group was known as the Saint Patrick's Battalion, which played a notable role in the war. Riley is also recognized for his association with the Mexican Army, although his primary legacy is linked to his leadership within the battalion during a period of intense military conflict.
