John Power: podcast appearances and interviews

John Power is a PhD candidate at University College Dublin. He has a background in music as an Irish-English singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He was the frontman of the Britpop band Cast and previously served as the bassist and backing vocalist for the La's from 1986 to 1991. After Cast disbanded in 2001, Power pursued a solo career. In 2005, he briefly reunited with the La's, although the group split again without releasing new material. Cast reformed in 2010 and released the albums Troubled Times in March 2012 and Kicking Up the Dust in April 2017. Born in Allerton, Liverpool, Power has built a varied career in the music industry and is currently engaged in academic pursuits.
