John O'Keefe: podcast appearances and interviews

John Michael O'Keefe, born on November 18, 1939, is an American-British neuroscientist and psychologist. He holds a professorship at University College London. O'Keefe is renowned for discovering place cells within the hippocampus, which are involved in spatial navigation and memory. His research demonstrated that these cells exhibit a specific type of temporal coding known as theta phase precession. His contributions to neuroscience earned him the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2014, which he shared with May-Britt Moser and Edvard Moser. In addition to his scientific achievements, O'Keefe is associated with the Brueggeman Center for Dialogue and has received numerous other accolades for his work.
