John Mullan: podcast appearances and interviews

John Mullan holds the Lord Northcliffe Chair of Modern English Literature at University College London. He is a scholar of eighteenth-century literature and is currently working on the volume covering the years 1709 to 1784 for the Oxford English Literary History. Mullan has contributed to various media outlets, writing a weekly column on contemporary fiction for The Guardian, and reviewing for the London Review of Books and the New Statesman. He has appeared as a contributor on BBC Two's Newsnight Review and BBC Radio 4's In Our Time. In the literary community, he has served as a judge for The Best of the Booker in 2008 and for the Man Booker Prize in 2009. His educational background includes studies at Downside School and King's College, Cambridge. He was a research fellow at Jesus College, Cambridge, and a lecturer at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, before his appointment at UCL in 1994.
