John Fletcher: podcast appearances and interviews

John Fletcher was an English playwright born in December 1579 and active until his death in August 1625. He succeeded William Shakespeare as the house playwright for the King's Men and became one of the most prolific and influential dramatists of his era. During his lifetime and into the Stuart Restoration period, his fame was comparable to that of Shakespeare. Fletcher frequently collaborated on plays, often working with Francis Beaumont or Philip Massinger, but also with Shakespeare and other playwrights. His contributions bridged the gap between Elizabethan popular drama and the theatrical traditions of the Restoration, making him an important transitional figure in English theatrical history.
