John Curtis: podcast appearances and interviews

John Ream Curtis (born May 10, 1960) is an American politician currently serving as the junior United States senator from Utah. He was elected to this position in 2024 as a member of the Republican Party. Previously, Curtis served as the U.S. representative for Utah's 3rd congressional district from 2017 to 2025 and as the mayor of Provo from 2010 to 2017. He was first elected to Congress in a 2017 special election to succeed Jason Chaffetz and was reelected three times. As a senator, Curtis is recognized as a moderate Republican; he founded the Conservative Climate Caucus and participated in the centrist Republican Governance Group. Curtis did not support Donald Trump during the 2024 Republican primaries and has publicly differentiated his political positions from more conservative elements, aligning in some aspects with Senator Mitt Romney. Currently, he is affiliated with South Metro Fire Rescue, where he serves as the Division Chief of Emergency Services, contributing his expertise to regional emergency response efforts.
