John Emmett Brady, born on September 17, 1954, is an American college basketball coach known for his tenure as the head men's basketball coach at Louisiana State University. During his coaching career at LSU, Brady led the team to a notable Final Four appearance in the 2006 NCAA tournament, marking the fourth time LSU men's basketball had reached that stage. His coaching period at LSU concluded on February 8, 2008, when he was dismissed, and he was replaced by his assistant coach, Butch Pierre, as interim head coach for the remainder of the season. Subsequently, Brady was appointed as the head men's basketball coach at Arkansas State University on March 21, 2008, becoming the 15th person to hold that position.
