John Altman: podcast appearances and interviews

John Altman, born John Clarkson Stewart on 2 March 1952, is a versatile English musician and actor. He is renowned as a film composer, saxophonist, music arranger, orchestrator, and conductor. Notably, he has contributed to the music of Monty Python productions among other projects. His work as a music arranger and conductor has involved orchestrating and conducting various compositions, showcasing his broad musical expertise. In addition to his music career, Altman appeared as Nick Cotton in the original cast of the BBC soap opera EastEnders, beginning with the show's first episode in February 1985. He maintained the role as a recurring character until his character was killed off in the show's 30th anniversary episode aired in February 2015. Beyond his television work, he has appeared in several films, television series, and stage productions. In 2010, he became the frontman of the band Heavy Metal Kids, following the death of their previous frontman Gary Holton in 1985.
