Joe Theismann: podcast appearances and interviews

Joseph Robert Theismann is an American former professional football player, sports commentator, corporate speaker, and restaurateur. He gained prominence as a quarterback in the National Football League and the Canadian Football League. During his 12 seasons with the Washington Redskins, Theismann was a two-time Pro Bowler and led the team to consecutive Super Bowl appearances, winning Super Bowl XVII and losing Super Bowl XVIII. Prior to his professional career, he played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003. Theismann's playing career ended after a career-threatening leg injury sustained during the 11th game of the 1985 NFL season. Following his retirement, he worked extensively as a sports broadcaster and analyst, primarily with ESPN for nearly 20 years, partnering with Mike Patrick on Sunday Night Football and with Mike Tirico and Tony Kornheiser on Monday Night Football. He has also served as a color analyst for NFL Network's Thursday Night Football with play-by-play announcer Bob Papa and analyst Matt Millen. Additionally, Theismann co-hosts NFL Network's weekly show Playbook. Since 2011, he has been part of the Washington Commanders preseason television broadcast team. His career in media has made him a recognizable figure in football analysis and commentary.
