Joseph-Thanh Nguyen, born on September 27, 1983, is an American politician and business executive currently serving as the president and chief executive officer of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. He has held this position since January 2026. Prior to this role, Nguyen served as a member of the Washington State Senate from 2019 until 2025. In 2025, he was the director of the Washington State Department of Commerce for part of the year. Nguyen is a second-generation Vietnamese American with prior work experience at Expedia and Microsoft before entering politics.
