Joe Morgan: podcast appearances and interviews

Joe Leonard Morgan (September 19, 1943 – October 11, 2020) was an American professional baseball second baseman with a career spanning 22 seasons in Major League Baseball. He played for the Houston Colt .45s / Astros, Cincinnati Reds, San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, and Oakland Athletics from 1963 to 1984. Morgan was a key member of the Reds team that won World Series championships in 1975 and 1976, and he was named the National League Most Valuable Player in both of those years. Recognized as one of the greatest second basemen in baseball history, he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990 during his first year of eligibility. Following his playing career, Morgan transitioned into broadcasting, serving as a commentator for the Reds, Giants, ABC, and ESPN. He also contributed to NBC's postseason telecasts in the mid-to-late 1990s, working alongside Bob Costas and Bob Uecker. Additionally, he hosted a weekly nationally syndicated radio show on Sports USA and held a position as a special advisor to the Reds. Morgan's extensive career and contributions to baseball have left a lasting legacy in the sport.
