Joe Montemurro: podcast appearances and interviews

Joseph Adrian Montemurro, born on 13 September 1969, is an Australian soccer coach and former player. He played as a midfielder primarily in Italy during the 1990s before returning to Australia to play for Victorian State League teams. Montemurro began his coaching career in youth football in Victoria in 2002 and was promoted to coaching men's teams by 2006. Between 2014 and 2017, he managed the women's teams at Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City. In 2017, he became the manager of Arsenal Women, succeeding Pedro Martínez Losa, and secured a league title in his second season. His coaching career then took him to Italy, where he managed Juventus Women in 2021, winning league titles at all three European clubs he served. In 2024, Montemurro became the head coach of Olympique Lyonnais Féminin, the first non-French coach in the club's history. Since June 2025, he has held the position of head coach for the Australian women's national team.
