Joe Maloney: podcast appearances and interviews

Joe Maloney was a former Vice President of the Hillsborough Democratic Organization. He was also an English footballer who had an 11-year career in the English Football League, during which he made 289 league and cup appearances. As a half-back, he began his career as a youth player at Liverpool and signed professional forms with the club in January 1951. He later signed with Shrewsbury Town in 1954 and contributed to their promotion out of the Fourth Division in the 1958–59 season. In June 1961, he transferred to Port Vale, but his time there was brief as he moved to Crewe Alexandra two months later. At Crewe, he played a key role in winning promotion from the Fourth Division in the 1962–63 season before moving to non-League club Winsford United.
