Joe Lonsdale: podcast appearances and interviews

Joseph Lonsdale is an American entrepreneur and venture capitalist born in 1982 or 1983. He is the chief of staff at 8VC, a technology investment firm he founded in 2015 where he also serves as managing partner. Lonsdale co-founded Palantir Technologies in 2004, along with Peter Thiel and others, and was involved with the company until his departure in 2009. Prior to his work with Palantir, he began his career as an intern at PayPal and held an early executive role at Clarium Capital, a hedge fund managed by Thiel. After leaving Palantir, Lonsdale co-founded Addepar in 2009, a wealth management technology company. In 2011, he co-founded the venture capital firm Formation 8. Beyond his entrepreneurial pursuits, Lonsdale is known for his political activities, including his support for the Republican Party as a donor and fundraiser. He founded the Cicero Institute, a conservative think tank, and co-founded the University of Austin, a private institution.
