Joe Bergamini: podcast appearances and interviews

Joe Bergamini is a drummer from New Jersey known for his work as an author and educator, as well as his performance career. He is the author of the book Neil Peart Taking Center Stage A Lifetime of Live Performance and served as co-producer, co-writer, and onscreen interviewer for the accompanying DVD. Bergamini has been involved in the music industry since at least 1990, operating a private drum teaching practice and giving clinics at schools and international drum festivals. Among his distinguished students is jazz drummer Mark Guiliana. He has contributed to Modern Drummer magazine and served as the drum editor for Carl Fischer publications. Since 2007, Bergamini has been the Senior Drum Editor for Hudson Music, working with renowned drummers including Steve Smith, Keith Carlock, Stanton Moore, David Garibaldi, Gavin Harrison, and Simon Phillips. His performance credits include being a member of the progressive rock band Happy the Man since 2000 and a co-founder of the instrumental band 4Front. His Broadway performances include roles in shows such as Billy Joel's Movin Out, Beautiful The Carole King Musical, School of Rock The Musical, Rock of Ages, In The Heights, and The Lion King. He has also performed with artists like Bumblefoot, Dennis DeYoung, and Deborah Gibson. Bergamini has collaborated on educational projects with notable artists like Steve Gadd and Stewart Copeland. Additionally, he has worked as a music industry consultant with Tama Drums and is endorsed by Sabian cymbals, Vic Firth sticks, Evans drumheads, and Latin Percussion. In 2015, he became an Education Consultant for Sabian Ltd and launched the Sabian Education Network.
