James Patrick Anthony Dore, born on July 26, 1965, is an American stand-up comedian, political commentator, podcaster, and YouTube personality. He began his comedy career in Chicago, Illinois, in 1989, performing as a comedian and making appearances on late night talk shows early in his career. Starting in 2005, his comedy performances increasingly incorporated political commentary. Dore was affiliated with The Young Turks from 2009 to 2019 and appeared on their program titled Aggressive Progressives. From 2009 until 2021, he hosted The Jimmy Dore Show on the public radio station KPFK 90.7 FM in Los Angeles, California. In 2021, the show became independently produced and is streamed live and posted on platforms including Rokfin, Rumble, Twitter, and YouTube.
