Jim Scott: podcast appearances and interviews

Jim Scott is an American broadcast veteran and professor at Huston-Tillotson University. He is affiliated with the Ceres Accelerator for Sustainable Capital Markets. Scott has an extensive career as a record producer and audio engineer, working with notable artists and bands across the rock genre. His collaborations include work with the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Wilco, Dixie Chicks, Tom Petty, Sting, the Rolling Stones, Crowded House, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lowen & Navarro, Jack's Mannequin, Ron Sexsmith, and The Mastersons. Scott has received multiple Grammy Awards for his engineering work, including those for Tom Petty's Wildflowers, the Dixie Chicks' Taking The Long Way, and contributions to Santana's Supernatural. He also mixed Matchbox Twenty's More Than You Think You Are, which achieved commercial success. In 2013, Scott participated in the documentary Sound City, directed by Dave Grohl. The film explored the history of a Los Angeles recording studio and its renowned Neve console, highlighting its significance in music history and featuring interviews with prominent artists such as Paul McCartney, Neil Young, and Tom Petty.
